According to the World’s Simplest Brands study (by Siegel+Gale), simplicity is the answer in an increasingly complex world.
Brands do better by keeping things simple.
The simplest brands perform better on the stock market, can charge more for their services/products and build greater loyalty.
And how is simplicity measured? One essential part is how brands communicate. The study measured brand communications for:
– Ease of understanding
– Transparency/honesty
– Making the customer feel valued and appreciated
– Innovation/freshness
– Usefulness.
Simplicity pays. It starts with the words we choose to use – corporate jargon and dense language complicate our communications.
Oh, and any guesses as to which companies topped the list?
